Delete a file with a long filename

If you have a problem deleting a file or a group of files, you may get the following message: "The source file name(s) are larger than is supported by the file system", like in the capture below:

Solution 1

Here is a tip on 7Zip to solve this problem

• Run 7zip (it's a compression software available here)
• Use the software file manager
• Press Shift + Suppr on the directory or the file

The software will manage to delete the file even though the operation system cannot...

Solution 2

Another possibility is to use Long Path Eraser, available in portable version, and to select the directory to delete.
